Before AGORED SOUNDS, there was BEATCRACKER, a sample marketplace I started building in VB.NET with a close friend. Same core idea: a place where producers upload sounds, browse a catalog, and download what they need.
We pushed through profiles, upload flows, and library browsing in a desktop app. The vision was real, but the scope was enormous for two people learning as they went: not enough time, not enough resources, and no modern stack to lean on.
We had to walk away. The project never shipped, but the source code is still out there, a snapshot of that first push.

Years later, the idea never really left. I restarted from zero instead of reviving the old codebase: Next.js, Supabase, Stripe, Vercel, tools that did not exist in our VB.NET days.
The lesson from BEATCRACKER was scope: go niche, ship smaller, iterate in public. AGORED SOUNDS would not try to be everything for everyone. Only metal, metalcore, and heavy sub-genres.
One focused mission, one community, one catalog that actually matches how heavy producers work.
AGORED SOUNDS is the production version of that original dream: browse, preview, download, and upload samples, packs, presets, and MIDI built for the metal ecosystem.
Certified creators get a public profile and a dedicated audience. Membership covers hosting so the platform stays online without turning into a corporate machine.
Same spirit as BEATCRACKER. Different stack, clearer boundaries, and a second chance done right.
